Temples are
known to be places where worship takes place. But what exactly is
worship? To quote author Rick Warren, “Worship is far more than
praising, singing, and praying to God. Worship is a lifestyle of
enjoying God, loving Him and giving ourselves to
be used for His purposes. When you use your life for God’s glory,
everything you do can become an act of worship.”
Romans 12:1 further tells us to:
“Offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to
God—this is your spiritual act of worship.” God has plans for your
body…physical plans. Your hands and feet are meant to be used as His
hands and feet on this earth. So whether He calls you to raise
children, teach Sunday School, or work with teenagers or the
homeless, you need a physical body which is ready for action.
Scripture says: “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few."
Often times it is because the workers are at doctor’s appointment,
going to physical therapy or are simply so tired they can’t get off
the couch!
It is my intent, through my
instructional teaching and encouragement, to ready the Body of
Christ to perform the work of Christ. The longer you live in good
physical health, the more you will be able to enjoy the abundant
life God has promised to His children.
But what if you are not a
Christian? My hope for you is for you to be blessed with physical
health and wellness which allows you to re-enter the Game of Life
with strength and vigor. Your physical restoration will enable you
to live a fuller life with greater ease and pleasure.
